Description
A working Bonsmara operation on mixed sweetveld north of the Magaliesberg, running a breeding herd of 320 cows on a twelve-camp rotation. The farm has been under the same management for nineteen years and the herd records go back to 2006.
Roughly 200 hectares are arable and have been planted to maize and teff for on-farm feed. The balance is grazing in good condition.
Improvements
Six-bedroom homestead with a separate office wing, a three-bedroom manager’s house and quarters for eight staff. Two implement sheds, a workshop and a 400-tonne grain store.
Handling facilities include a covered crush, scale, loading ramp and hospital camp. Water comes from four equipped boreholes and a registered abstraction off the Vaalkop canal.
Land claims
A claim was lodged in 1999 over the eastern portion and was settled by financial compensation in 2014. The settlement agreement is registered against the title and does not affect transfer.
