Description
Extensive Karoo grazing in the Sneeuberg foothills, running Merino sheep with a small cattle component. The high camps hold snow most winters, which the current owner uses to rest the low country through the growing season.
Rainfall averages 340 mm and falls mostly in summer. The farm has never been overstocked and the veld reflects it.
Improvements
Stone homestead of five bedrooms dating to 1908, restored in 2019, with a separate guest cottage and quarters for five staff. Eight-stand shearing shed with a wool press and sorting table.
Water is from two equipped boreholes, four windmills and eleven earth dams. Twenty-two camps, all jackal-proofed, with a crush and loading ramp at the main werf.
