Big Five
Description
Rolling thornveld sharing an eleven-kilometre unfenced boundary with a provincial reserve, which puts the full Big Five complement on the property for parts of the year. The land rises from 180 to 620 metres, giving unusually varied habitat for a single title.
The property is held in a single company and is offered with the shares, which is the cleanest route for a foreign buyer.
Improvements
Eight-suite photographic lodge on the escarpment edge, built in 2016 and trading with forward bookings. Staff village of eleven units, a workshop and a two-bay garage.
Three equipped boreholes and two perennial streams. Nineteen kilometres of the perimeter carry 2.4 m electrified game fence; the reserve boundary is deliberately open under a co-management agreement.
Wildlife & vegetation
Acacia thornveld on the lower slopes giving way to mistbelt grassland on the plateau. The altitude range supports both lowveld and grassland species on one property.
Lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and white rhino move through from the reserve. Resident game includes nyala, kudu, zebra, giraffe, impala and red duiker.
Land claims
A community claim over the northern third was lodged in 2003 and remains under adjudication. Full documentation is available and the seller will discuss the position openly with serious buyers.
